Covid-19 may be here to stay for a while, but restaurants and food services must keep their kitchen warm to remain in business. In Aseana, Parañaque, 390 Degrees Restaurant is a casual western dining situated in the Sequoia hotel that is certain to be a local favorite.

Best pick: Beef Brisket Sandwich P490, 5-star Angus beef slices with lettuce, tomato, fried onion chips, seasoned mustard, served inside the in-house charcoal-activated burger bun.

While admiring the elegant dining room, a 390 Signature Iced Tea (P120), a house-brewed black tea with pineapple and lemon, was served. It's a simple pick-me-up to soothe the senses.

The calming Tomato Soup with Ravioli (P240) was then served shortly. It's an appetite starter that teases the tongue with familiar herbs and Italian flavors. Pasta lovers will enjoy this dish, especially the spinach-cheese ravioli.
